Seriously Awesome.

Star Trek Enterprise
(Click the image for a larger version)

For those of you that have or will see the new monster action movie Cloverfield, you will also get to see the brand new trailer for the next Star Trek movie. As many fans of Star Trek can attest, the recent video games and television shows from the Star Trek universe have been rather… terrible. Fortunately, the trailer that is attached to the J.J. Abrams film Cloverfield will rinse out that bittery, nutty taste of failed Star Trek offerings.

Even as a person that doesn’t even really watch or care about Star Trek (I favor Star Wars, Battestar Galactica, and Stargate over the Trekingdom), I actually feel a strange sense of excitement for this new take on drama in space. Perhaps this version of the Final Frontier will be more thrilling than what I remember from Star Trek. We’ll see.

Cat Hiding from Doves

The simple lives of cat make for some entertaining circumstances- most cats focus on eating, sleeping, playing, and getting water. This cat is obviously driven to find better ways to catch his meals.

Sing-a-long!

There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven
And when she gets there she knows if the stores are closed
With a word she can get what she came for

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven

There’s a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
And you know sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook there’s a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven

There’s a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking

Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven

And it’s whispered that soon, if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forest will echo with laughter

And it makes me wonder

If there’s a bustle in your hedgerow
Don’t be alarmed now
It’s just a spring clean for the May Queen

Yes there are two paths you can go by
but in the long run
There’s still time to change the road you’re on

Your head is humming and it won’t go in case you don’t know
The piper’s calling you to join him
Dear lady can’t you hear the wind blow and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
Woe oh oh oh oh oh
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven

There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven
And when she gets there she knows if the stores are closed
With a word she can get what she came for

And she’s buying a stairway to heaven, uh uh uh.

And this is why.

Best. Drunken. Fan. Ever.

I remember trying to beat the garage door when I was younger too- but not on a small bicycle and not with the panel type door seen in this video,

Why You Shouldnt Try to Race Your Garage Door
A lot of times, puppies will hit their heads on things because it takes them a few months to realize part of their head is above their eyes. Now what's this idiot's excuse?

Of course, my old garage door didn’t have sensors and took forever to close, making it real easy to pretend that I was Indiana Jones getting out of a trap just in time. This makes me think though, why wouldn’t a father make sure that his garage did have safety sensors that stopped when the sight was crossed. This kid could’ve been crushed to death. Ah well.

I didn’t make this, please don’t get the wrong idea.

The last one is the very best.
